Weekend Meditation Retreat

commences Mar 25, 2011 with

“ Be Still, Look within, Rest into the core of your Being. Peace and Contentment is your Essence.”

A Meditation Retreat is a wonderful opportunity to quietly look within. When we retreat from the world of our normal everyday lives, the workings of the mind can be more easily seen. Identification with conceptual belief patterns can be released, revealing a Silence and Stillness that is full of love and peace, the Essence of our Being.

Weekend Retreats are a great introduction to meditation for beginners and are a convenient way for those experienced in meditation to do some intensive practice, bringing together like-minded individuals, and creating an energy and community where one’s meditation practice and inquiry into Life can further deepen and become firmly established.

About the Facilitator

Aruna’s interest in the spiritual re-ignited in 1991 during a mountaineering trip to the Indian Himalayas. He could then see that his present condition was full of suffering, lacking genuine contentment and happiness. To be present consciously moment to moment seemed impossible due to strong identification with emotion and thought. Fueled by the pain of this internal suffering his quest led him to meditation that he practiced daily for 5 years. During this time he also explored other transformative therapies and trained in Structural Integration and Remedial Massage. These therapies along with the foundation of meditation freed and dissolved many layers of accumulated mental and emotional past. In 1997 in the U.S.A, Aruna had an awakening that revealed and continues to reveal the essential nature, an eternal Being of Existence, always shining moment to moment. From 2001 to 2005 Aruna spent large amounts of time in India, Nepal and Tibet where he had meetings with spiritual teachers and spent time meditating at various pilgrimage sites. Aruna lives in Melbourne with his wife and son, and is now openly sharing his insights and knowledge.
